Recovering (also known as “refacing”) is the process of renewing existing cabinetry. This minimally invasive remodel can often be done in less time for less money than a standard kitchen remodel. For the benefit of our world, a recovering project uses less new product and creates less waste for our landfills; making it a Green Remodeling option.
The process involves removing old doors and drawer faces, covering the boxes with a laminate or wood veneer that matches the new doors and drawer faces and then putting the new doors and drawer faces on with new hardware. Additional cabinets can be made to match recovered cabinets.
